Sarah Dunmire is the Associate Director of Bands at Arrowhead High School where she conducts the Concert Band, Symphonic Bands, Jazz Ensemble, 3 O'clock Jazz, and previously Chamber Strings.  She is the Director of Pep Bands and Assistant Director of the Marching Warhawks. Prior to Arrowhead, she served as Director of Bands at Cudahy High School and Park View Elementary for five years where she led student travel to Chicago, New Orleans, and Orlando. At Arrowhead, Mrs. Dunmire has helped students to perform in New York City and Northern Italy.  She is an active adjudicator and clinician for Wisconsin School Music Association and has judged the Distinguished Young Women scholarship program and the Wisconsin Flute Festival.

Mrs. Dunmire holds a Master of Music Education (MME) degree from VanderCook College of Music, Bachelor of Music Education (BME) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and Post-Baccalaureate Choral Certification from UW-Milwaukee.  At UW-Eau Claire she formed and toured with the a cappella vocal jazz group, Soundscape.  Mrs. Dunmire also organized clinicians and volunteers at the renowned Eau Claire Jazz Festival.  She is a professional flutist, pianist, and singer as well as a private studio teacher in all three areas. She has been rehearsal accompanist and pit pianist for the stage musicals Guys and Dolls, All Shook Up, Seussical, High School Musical, The Wizard of Oz, The Wedding Singer, AHS Musical Theater Nights, and has accompanied recitals, Solo/Ensembles, and other competitions.  Mrs. Dunmire frequently volunteers her time to perform along with her professional clarinetist sister, Raquel, at prisons and nursing homes.  She has performed on flute, piccolo, and piano with Hartland Community Band, Greenfield Concert Band, and Dream City Music.

She is a member of National Association for Music Education, Wisconsin Music Educators Association, Women Band Directors International, National Band Association, American String Teachers Association, and Pi Kappa Lambda Collegiate Music Honors Society.  Mrs. Dunmire works with Australian composer, Jodie Blackshaw, on the ColourFULL Music initiative, which shares resources and encourages pledges for music educators and conductors to program more diverse, inclusive repertoire.

Mrs. Dunmire resides in Greenfield with her fellow music educator and percussionist husband, Chris, and their tabby cat, Jasper.
